Corporate Shoots

Over the past couple of weeks, we have had two corporate jobs.  James did a shoot for Quixote, which is a group of companies involved in strategic marketing research, public relations and brand communications.  The shoot was at the Westin in Pittsburgh.  James & Tracy also did a job at the Renaissance Hotel in Pittsburgh for DotFit.  DotFit is a research & development company for personal trainers & fitness programs.  Neal Spruce, founder & CEO of DotFit, has done work for “The Biggest Loser”, Dr. Oz and many other Hollywood celebrities.

We have been very busy with our high school soccer teams.  James has been out every night taping games for Penn Trafford girls, North Allegheny girls and boys and Pine Richland boys.  Tracy taped a couple of games for Penn Trafford boys and girls, as well.  James also taped  JV and varsity games for the Penn Trafford field Hockey team.

Double Wedding

We recently had our very first double wedding!  Sisters Rachel and Leah Reis shared their wedding day on June 30th.  Their ceremony was held at Faith Bible Baptist Church in Wilkins Township and the reception was at Kingston Hall, also in Wilkins.  It was truly a beautiful day and a great experience for us!  Best of luck to both newlywed couples.

James did a shoot in Johnstown for a non-profit organization called Artworks.  The video will be used for promoting studio space to rent out to local artists.

The Pittsburgh Pride had an amazing come from behind win on Saturday!  The Pride was down 13-0 until the 4th quarter.  They came back to win 14-13 against the Neo Predators.  We can always count on the Pride for an exciting game!  Already looking forward to the next game!

Karisa Decker and Dave Haslett began their new life together on Saturday, July 14th.  The ceremony was held at St. John Neumann in Franklin Park and the reception was at the Four Points Sheraton in Cranberry.   The guests had a wonderful time dancing all night and celebrating with the bride and groom.  Have a wonderful life together, Karisa and Dave!

Not Just Weddings and Sports…

Although weddings and sports seem to consume most of our time, we often find ourselves doing other services.  We recently shot for an engineering firm for documentation of the transporting of their water pump station through Sewickley Borough. Documentation was needed to verify possible damage to sidewalks and residential property.

Speakers often need promotional materials to market their product or service.  Bob Stearns of Extraordinary Performance required our service at the Doubletree Greentree.  We will create from his presentation DVDs for sale and promotional clips for his website.

Added into our normal editing work week, we’ve also been busy with several slide transfers.

We enjoy sports and weddings, but it’s nice to change direction once in a while.

Cinderella Ball 2012

We had the honor of, once again, taping the Cinderella Ball at the Omni William Penn on January 28th.  There were 20 debutantes this year.  It was a very elegant evening and we were happy to be a part of it.

We traveled to Cleveland to do a training shoot for PNC bank on January 26th.  We have also done several tribute DVDs for the two funeral homes that we are involved with, Jobe Funeral Home and Lanigan Funeral Home.

The Penn Trafford Lady Warrior basketball team has had wins against Franklin, Gateway and Hempfield.  It looks like the girls will be going to the playoffs for sure!  It is senior night for both the girls and the boys teams tomorrow evening, the 7th.

Last, but not least, we taped some footage from the Cavanaugh bridal show that was held in Pittsburgh.

Interview of Pitt Magazine Senior Editor

We had the pleasure of meeting and interviewing Mr. Ervin Dyer, senior editor for Pitt Magazine.  He had nominated Mr. Wallace Houston Terry for honors with the National Association for Black Journalists. Mr. Terry was the first black war correspondent on permanent duty during the Vietnam War.

We traveled to Clairton High School to shoot the latest Teen Zone TV episode, which focuses on bullying in the schools.

The last 2 weeks have been busy with quite a few basketball games.  It’s been an amazing couple of weeks for the Penn Trafford boys team, as they had 4 section wins over Connellsville, Latrobe, Norwin and Hempfield.  The Penn Trafford girls team won big over Laurel Highlands, Norwin and Latrobe.

We recently booked several weddings for 2012.  We are very excited to be a part of the Dinga, Decker and Sklarsky weddings!

Week of October 31

The Penn Trafford Lady Warriors lost to Peters Twp. in the semifinals on Tuesday night. They are moving on to the state finals next week. The North Allegheny Lady Tigers also lost to Upper St. Clair on Tuesday. They are also moving on to states. Congratulations go out to both teams on a great season!

We interviewed Sister Genvieve from Sisters of the Divine about her recollections on the history of other nuns and their influence on the convent. She is in her 90s, has a very sharp mind and is a natural in front of the camera.

Congratulations to newlyweds Mary Jo and Kevin Kerr, who were married on November 5th. The ceremony was at Corpus Christi in McKeesport and the reception was held at Sheraton Station Square.

Week of August 22nd

The third week of August was a busy one.  We shot the PT girls soccer camp at the Bushy Run soccer fields, followed by a slip & slide party to add something different to the video this year.

We also worked with AM Marketing for Keller Williams real estate agents Chris Laboon & Alex Smith to produce internet ready promotional videos.

We ended our busy week taping a wedding for a fun & lovely couple.  Congratulations to the newlyweds Rachel & Ricky Kaiser!  They had a lovely wedding ceremony at Park United Presbyterian church in Zelienople and a beautiful reception at 12 Oaks Mansion right outside of Cranberry.
