Interview of Pitt Magazine Senior Editor

We had the pleasure of meeting and interviewing Mr. Ervin Dyer, senior editor for Pitt Magazine.  He had nominated Mr. Wallace Houston Terry for honors with the National Association for Black Journalists. Mr. Terry was the first black war correspondent on permanent duty during the Vietnam War.

We traveled to Clairton High School to shoot the latest Teen Zone TV episode, which focuses on bullying in the schools.

The last 2 weeks have been busy with quite a few basketball games.  It’s been an amazing couple of weeks for the Penn Trafford boys team, as they had 4 section wins over Connellsville, Latrobe, Norwin and Hempfield.  The Penn Trafford girls team won big over Laurel Highlands, Norwin and Latrobe.

We recently booked several weddings for 2012.  We are very excited to be a part of the Dinga, Decker and Sklarsky weddings!

The PT girls played against Gateway on Saturday in the first round. It was no contest! The Lady Warriors won 4-1 and they are moving on to the next round, to be played this Wednesday. The Lady Tigers won a nail-biter in overtime against Mt. Lebanon. The winning goal was scored by Savana Yurick. The final score was 1-0. The next round of playoffs is also Wednesday for the Lady Tigers.
We were also busy this week helping a fellow videographer with two weddings over the weekend and another videographer with the Norwin/Pine Richland soccer playoff game on Saturday.

Week of October 10

Our Penn Trafford field hockey seniors were honored in a special ceremony with their parents before the game on Monday evening.  The girls went on to play an awesome game against Greensburg Salem and won 8-1.  Great job girls!  The JV field hockey team also won that night with a final score of 2-0.   The North Allegheny girls played a very exciting game, also on Monday, against Shaler.  Maddie Layman scored the game winning goal with just 5 seconds left in the second overtime. The final score was 3-2.  The N.A. girls clinched a playoff spot that night.  Way to go Lady Tigers!  The North Allegheny boys team won against Butler on Tuesday night.  This was a must win game to keep their playoff hopes alive.  Phil Fives scored a pair of goals for the Tigers.  The final score was 3-1.  The Penn Trafford boys team played Kiski, the conference leader, on Tuesday night and the game ended in a tie.  The JV team also played a good game.  The Pine Richland boys soccer team also honored their seniors this week in a ceremony before Tuesday’s game again North Hills.  The Rams played a very competitive game, but after a double overtime,  ended up in a tied game.  The North Allegheny Lady Tigers had their senior night on Wednesday evening.  They played a wonderful game against Erie McDowell on a soggy, wet senior night.  The girls won 8-1.  We had a fun time interviewing the North Allegheny senior girls for their highlight video on Thursday afternoon.  The Penn Trafford boys team played at Norwin on Thursday and lost a tough game.  Our final games of the week were on Saturday at Warrior stadium.  Both the girls and the boys teams honored their seniors.  The girls won against Gateway with a final score of 3-0 and the boys won, with a final score of 4-2.  Great job to all of our teams this week and congratulations to all of the seniors!
